Metin Erksan's KADIN HAMLET!

Just bought a copy of this rare and weird Turkish drama on DVD, a version of HAMLET set in the 70s and with a female lead. Below are a couple of clips from the movie that have whetted my appetite for this unique film. I think they may do the same for you. Director Erksan is best know in the west for having directed the ultra-cheesy SEYTAN but he is hailed as a great auteur in his home country. His films of the 1960s are acclaimed fantasy-infused melodramas like SEVMEK ZAMANI, SUCLULAR ARAMIZDA or OLMEYEN ASK and are high on my "must-see" list.
